Version 12.0 of DerbyDMV™ adds several new features and improvements to help in getting prepared for your race and to add fun.

• MacOS Support
  
  • Added support for macOS Sonoma (14.x).  Note: If you are running a Mac with the M1 to M3 processor, you need to have Rosetta 2 installed.
• Software Settings
  • Added the ability to set the size of the software’s toolbar icons (small, medium or large) for better viewing.
• Advanced Software Settings
  
  • Improved settings import process to work with settings from an older version of the software or from an alternate settings file for that version. Also an easy way to synchronize two computers to use the same settings.
• Registration
  
  • Added a new “Admin” field to the registration process and added to the Racer List report. This field can be used for any administrative purpose, such as tracking who has paid the entry fee. Field label can be customized. Any type of text can be entered (numbers, letters, Yes/No, etc.).
  • Update the functionality of the racer registration to be the same as that in GrandPrix Race Manager Version 23.

Version 9.0 of DerbyDMV™ adds several new features and improvements to help in getting prepared for your race and to add fun.

• User Interface
  • DerbyDMV has been redesigned to make it easier to use and more intuitive.
  • An Overview tab has been added to the Main screen to list the steps of using the software. This gives shortcuts to each step and lets you check off each one as you complete them.
• OS Support
  • DerbyDMV now supports macOS Sierra 10.12 and above.
  • Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1 and 10 (32 bit and 64 bit) are supported. Windows XP is no longer supported.
• Data File Support
  • You can now directly use your GrandPrix Race Manager Version 16.0 or above data file with DerbyDMV or vice versa. No need to export your data from one app and then import into the other. Both apps can share the same data file.
• Competition Groups
  • The Group and Subgroup management has been given its own tab on the Main screen for easier configuration.
  • More intuitive management of groups and subgroups, including a wizard for quick setup.
• Racers
  • Added ability to import directly from a DerbyDMV or GrandPrix Race Manager SQLite data file. You can import old rosters and then edit as needed.
  • Added a counts summary for easy reference (racers and printed).
  • Added the ability to renumber vehicles in bulk.
  • Added an option to display the racer’s First Name then Last Name (instead of Last Name first) on the racer entry form and the racer list display.
  • Manually adding racers is now faster. When you add a racer, the software will ask you if you want to add another. If so, form is cleared for the next entry to be made.
  • Made using number series for each race group easier. When entering a new racer, the software will find the next number in that group’s series to use.
  • Improved import process to make it easier to use an export from some other software. Any extra columns in that export, not needed by DerbyDMV, will be ignored.
  • Added search feature to quickly find a particular racer. Enter a First Name, Last Name, Vehicle#, or Custom Field to search for.

  • (Windows Only) Added a custom PDF viewer to display reports, instead of depending on the user's default PDF viewer.  It's easy to use and has an easy to find print functionality.

  • Delete Menu - When using any of the delete options the  appropriate tab and group will be displayed after the deletion is complete.
  • Divider position, between the group/subgroup list and the data records, is now remembered. (Racer and Race Crew tabs).
  • Overview Tab - Added a Samples Files button, for easy access.
• Software Settings
  • Added a user preference for date format.
  • Increased maximum image size to 400 x 400 pixels.
  • Job Positions are now stored in the settings file instead of the database.  Any custom job positions will be available, regardless of the data file in use.
